The quality lies in the performances which is why this is an above average DTV Thriller. Synopsis: In Spokane, an elite government killer goes rogue on the day that engineer Allen Campbell loses a promotion and finds his best man with his wife. He is deep and scary and really gets into the role more than he has in the last few years.

Gooding assures the audience that he has still got it and reminds us of why he is capable of an award winning performance. They do not play down to the budget level and they treat the film as if it is a big budget hit. All in all what saves the film is the performances by Hauser and Gooding. There is a car chase in the film that could have been much more exciting if the editing was better. The DP obviously did not have the time or money to make the film look bigger. The budget shows in the camera set ups and how rarely other angles are used. The opening credits are done in almost a comedic or even a James Bond type of way and really turns the viewer away from what the tone is trying to be. Its flaws lie in editing and lack of budget which is the same thing "Sacrifice" suffered from. The film has been compared to "Collateral" and while it is a fair comparison, the film does stand on its own. It isn't long before he realizes its a joke and has to stop Jonas from completing the list. Thinking it is a joke Allen writes down names and laughs it off.

A man creates a hit list with a stranger during a drunken night out and must then race to try to save those he marked for death as the bodies pile up and all fingers point to him. With Cuba Gooding Jr., Cole Hauser, Jonathan LaPaglia, Ginny Weirick. Jonas Arbor(Gooding) is a hit man and decides to go rouge. The Hit List: Directed by William Kaufman. The film turned out to be pretty well done for a DTV thriller but just like "Sacrifice" it has it's flaws. I picked it up because I am a pretty big fan of his. I'd definitely recommend this gem to everyone.Just a few weeks after picking up Gooding's last film "Sacrifice", "The Hit List" was released. The disintegrating relationship between the characters of Maskell and Buring is so well acted by both actors that it's really quite devastating to watch as it can be all too familiar. The real horror is in the crumbling of the human psyche and also the family unit. Firstly the direction is entirely offbeat and has a dream-like ambiance to it as the protagonist staggers through happenings that get stranger and stranger as time progresses, resulting in a showdown that will be pretty hard to forget with a brilliant plot twist right at the end that leaves a burn on the brain.

A little bit of a hidden gem, in Kill List a troubled ex-army officer resumes his humble day job of carrying out assassinations for large sums of money and inevitably finds himself tangled in a contract that will burrow under his skin and eventually consume him. Horror is at its most visceral and paranoid when it's British in my opinion and Kill List supports this opinion massively.
